pua magic tricks

This Memorial Day I was at a wedding in Southern California and had some pretty keen inisghts into magic performance. The groom is one of my best friends and knows my penchant for performing. At the rehearsal dinner there were 20 people in a banquet room eating and socializing when the groom asked me to do some magic. He was building up the trick so much that the entire room wanted to see. I was on the spot. My history in performing magic has always been concentrated in performing for a single girl or very small group of people: 4-5 max. I’d never done anything for 20 people before, but I complied.

My heart began pounding in my chest because I was officially out of my comfort zone. [click to continue...]

PUMA Testimonial

by bradjackson

I went to a wedding this weekend. While there I performed several tricks for the bridesmaids. I wasn’t picking anybody up…I had a date. But the reaction was amazing. At one point I actually performed a couple tricks for 20 people at one time. That was a FIRST for me, but the crowd loved it and everybody was talking about it the entire weekend. I asked one of the bridesmaids what she thought and didn’t tell her why I was taping it. What you’re seeing is a genuine reaction…and this was 24 hours AFTER she saw the tricks!

Ok, so this has NOTHING TO DO WITH MAGIC or Pick Up….but I have to share.

In addition to creating PUMA Skills I am also a founding partner in another venture that allows the users of the portable GPS navigation systems like Garmin or TomTom to change the voice on their system to celebrity and cultural personalities.  I must admit it can be a little edgy…but always funny.

I’d love for you to come check it out.  If you own a GPS…grab a pig tone for yourself.  If you think the site is funny, please Digg it or send it to your friends.  We’re trying to get the word out in a big way.

Thanks guys!

Check it out here. pig-tones.com

There is no skill more cherised and useful than sleight of hand and the misdirection that goes with it. Penn & Teller do a perfect job of explaining the

The Seven Principles:

  1. Palm – To hold an object in an apparently empty hand.
  2. Ditch – To secretly dispose of an unneeded object.
  3. Steal – To secretly obtain a needed object.
  4. Load – To secretly move an object to where it is needed.
  5. Simulation – To give the impression that something that hasn’t happened, has.
  6. Misdirection – To lead attention away from a secret move.
  7. Switch – To secretly exchange one object for another.

A few quick PUMA Skills

by bradjackson

This is just a small sample of the magic available. It’s not the most advanced magic and it doesn’t have to be. It does have to be simple, effective and easily done.

If you’ve read “The Game” by Neil Strauss or seen VH1’s “The Pick Up Artst” then you’re familiar with a man named “Mystery.” He’s been described as the “World’s Greatest Pick Up Artist” for a good reason. In this video he tells about his obsession with magic and how it helped him evolve his game to a new level. Now Mystery’s game transcends just using magic, but it’s undoubtedly played a major role in his success and he’ll always have these abilities.

Mystery is a P.U.M.A……PERSONIFIED!

MAGIC…its mysterious allure can captivate us in childhood and make us believe in the impossible. If we’re fortunate enough to keep a splinter of that in our adulthood, magic can make us feel young again and remember what it was like when we could suspend disbelief. Magic has the power to entertain young and old, male and female.

Some magicians are corny and silly, others are mysterious and marry supermodels (Copperfield). Then there are those of us somewhere in between. Several years ago I learned some basic magic tricks at a bar and when I playfully showed the girl standing next to me…I couldn’t believe how her entire demeanor changed and “she” became instantly more playful and fun.

Since then I have successfully interweaved magic into my game. Magic never got the girl for me…but it helped enhance my personality and made it easier to get the girl…or at least have more fun trying.

You see, a magic trick will NEVER get you the girl. A magic trick or routine cannot in itself trigger attraction. If it could, it wouldn’t be a secret…every guy would be doing “tricks for chicks.”

It’s not the trick that gets the girl…it’s the personality displayed by the proper performance of the effects that can trigger attraction and excitement. Magic can enhance your personality with charisma, charm and confidence…if performed correctly.

A vast majority of guys will absolutely refuse to learn or ever do a magic trick while talking to a girl. They believe it will make them look foolish or like they’re trying too hard. At the other end, some guys learn amazing tricks but still can’t seem to convey the charm and sensuality that is so important in the interaction with the girl. So either they’re too afraid to use it or are too afraid to use anything else but magic. The key lies in the middle…to integrate the Pick-Up Arts with the Magic Arts.

This is the exact reason behind P.U.M.A Skills. The Pick-Up Magic Arts.

By intertwining the two skills, your game gets stronger, you become a better performer and you have a lot more fun in each situation.

PUMA Skills was created as a product that I wish existed when I was learning magic. I have never wanted to be a full time magician. But I enjoyed the reactions and attention I got from when I was out socially.

I spent a lot of time and money filtering out all the useless tricks that I could never use in real-life situations and distilled it to the product you see here…though it is ever-evolving.

I realized that your magic doesn’t have to be amazing to be impressive (though I still love amazing tricks). However, your magic does have to be spontaneous and instantly available. You have to be comfortable doing it and not look like you’re trying too hard. You have to know when to pull it out and when to keep it under wraps.
